Sallyanne Atkinson AO

Advisory Board

Sallyanne started her career as a journalist and went on to become Lord Mayor of Brisbane and Special Representative for South East Asia for the Queensland Government. Sallyanne now holds several non-executive director roles for local and national organisations and companies. Currently, a member of UQ Senate, elected by the graduate community.  


Derek Cronin

Advisory Board

Derek, a solicitor since 1994, has over 30 years of experience in commercial litigation, debt recovery, insolvency, and dispute resolution. He established his firm on the Gold Coast in 2006 after working in Brisbane. The firm, Cronin Miller Litigation, operates from Surfers Paradise and Brisbane and has been recognized by Doyles Guide as a leading firm in Commercial Litigation. Derek and his partner Stacy Miller have received accolades as top solicitors in their field. The firm supports various community organizations and has handled notable construction insolvency cases. An original Bond University student, Derek has served on the University Council and various advisory boards. He currently holds honorary positions with BMD Northcliffe Surf Club and Coolangatta and Tweed Heads Golf Club. Derek values high client service and has deep Gold Coast roots, tracing back to the 1950s.

Michael Dempsey

Advisory Board

Michael Dempsey, an engineering graduate, embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 1999 with the founding of Ezidebit. Leading as CEO, Ezidebit ascended to the forefront of Australia's payment processing industry, becoming the leader in SaaS-based payment products and innovative payment solutions. Michael's drive and strategic acumen led to significant growth, culminating in a $305 million acquisition by Global Payments in 2014.
Michael is the founder of Pipeline Capital, a successful venture capital family office. He has extensive experience in launching and nurturing disruptive businesses towards successful exits. He excels at aligning team efforts with business objectives and is passionate about assisting businesses to achieve substantial growth and profitability.

Allan Godbee

Advisory Board

Allan is a Partner at GFA Strategic Accountants with over 40 years of experience in professional services. He helps small to medium-sized businesses in strategic development, including risk management, benchmarking, strategic advice, and investment planning. Allan has a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Australian College of Pharmacy. He sits on the boards of Careflight and All Saints Anglican School. Allan specializes in pharmacy, dental & medical practice and has built an extensive contact base in South East Queensland through creating long-term professional relationships.

Jim Kalokerinos

Advisory Board


He has over forty years’ experience in business development, and sales and marketing within the life sciences industry having worked in medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, laboratory distribution, and allied healthcare. He has held board, senior management, and advisory positions in Australia and internationally. Jim was a co-founder of three successful diagnostics companies, Techlab, Pacific Diagnostics and Panbio. He is a supporter of early-stage companies mentoring groups on strategy, commercialization, and growth. Since 2010 he has been an active member of Brisbane Angels Investor Group, giving insight from both an entrepreneurial and investor perspective. Jim holds a B App. Sc. (USQ), B Econ. (UQ); FAICD.

Bronwyn Morris AM

Advisory Board

Bronwyn is a highly experienced non-executive director with over 25 years of experience across various sectors. She is a former audit and corporate services partner at KPMG and a chartered accountant. Bronwyn has held several leadership positions, including her role as immediate past President and Chair of RACQ. Currently, she is the chair of Urban Utilities and RACQ Foundation and is a director of several firms such as Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure Limited, Collins Foods Limited, Moorebank Intermodal Company, and Menzies Health Institute Queensland. She also served as Queensland President of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded an AM and a Centenary Medal.

James Paulsen

Advisory Board

James has worked in investment banking and private equity for several years. He founded Enterprise Angels and Queensland Leaders to assist private companies in accessing new opportunities, capital, and exit strategies. After achieving success in Queensland, he established the Leaders business platform across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK through the International Leaders business. James studied accounting at QUT and completed an MBA with Bond University. For the past 25 years, he has been helping private business owners achieve their goals by providing them with access to expertise, experience, and inspiration.


Hon. Judy Spence

Advisory Board

Judy was the longest-serving woman in the Queensland Parliament. She entered politics in 1989 as the Labor Member for Mount Gravatt. Later, she became the Member for Sunnybank and the Leader of the House. As Leader of the House, Judy chaired a committee to reform the parliamentary process. Her blueprint for reform recommended significant changes, which have been endorsed by the government. The new reform has given people of Queensland an opportunity to scrutinize the expenditure of the Executive and have a real say in the laws that are made.

Estella Rodighiero

Advisory Board

Estella Rodighiero is a highly regarded economic development professional in South East Queensland. She has developed award-winning employment and small business initiatives, orchestrated inbound and outbound international trade missions, and advised governments on the regional impacts of policy and programs. Currently, she is working on transformative projects to support the Gold Coast's key industry sectors and prepare for a low carbon future. Estella is an Executive Member of the Gold Coast City Heart Taskforce, board member of LifeFlight Australia Ltd, and has received awards for excellence in regional development.
